My biggest hero, Tommy Emmanuel, has a website called Tommy TV, where anyone can go to and learn from. The website has videos, tutorials, interviews and much more. One section on the website is called “Tommy and Friends”, where he posts interviews with some of his guitarplaying friends from all over the world! When I was in Nashville last summer, Tommy invited me to do a video for the “Tommy and Friends” section, where he would do an interview, and play a tune together! Tommy is my all time favourite guitarplayer. Not only is he one of the world’s greatest musicians and entertainers, he is also one of the most humble and one of the nicest guys I’ve met in my life.

According to Emil, and many many others, the poeple of AER makes the best acoustic amplifiers in the world. Emil has used the “AER Compact 60″ since he first tried one in 2006, and we’re now very happy to let you all know that he now collaborates with the AER company. Emil will be playing in the AER booth at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA in January of 2012.

Michael Sandén is a Swedish guitar luthier, who builds beautiful steel string and nylon string guitars. On Emil’s new record “Handmade”, Emil use a Sandén SRB-ee guitar on all tracks except two, where he uses a Maton EBG808 Artist. The SRB-ee model is a guitar that Emil and Michael has devoloped together, and It’s a wonderful small fingerpickin’ guitar. The guitar was reviewed in Scandinavias biggest guitar magazine “Fuzz”, and you can read the article here: (article in swedish)
